Raw garlic extract is rich in allicin, the compound that causes garlic breath. Fermented garlic is rich in S-Allyl-Cysteine (SAC), which forms during ninety days of controlled fermentation and is odourless.

They come from the same plant but the chemistry is different. If you are comparing products, look for the SAC content on the label. If no SAC content is listed, the product is probably raw or only lightly aged. Compare the backs of the pouches, not the fronts.

CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) exists in two forms. Ubiquinone is the oxidised form. Ubiquinol is the reduced, active form — the form your body uses directly.

Most budget CoQ10 supplements use ubiquinone. This contains 200mg of ubiquinol. The form is printed on the label so you know which one you are buying. CoQ10 holds no authorised health claim in Great Britain; we describe it as what it is.

One softgel a day, swallowed with water, with a meal that contains some fat — eggs, avocado, oily fish, olive oil, yoghurt or nuts. CoQ10 is fat-soluble, which is also why it comes as an oil in a softgel.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner all work; what matters is that it becomes the same habit every day. Nothing to measure, nothing to mix. Keep the pouch sealed, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.

Everyone is different. We recommend taking one softgel daily with a meal for at least 8–12 weeks before you judge it — consistency is what counts with any daily supplement.

No. Allicin causes garlic breath. Ninety-day fermentation converts allicin to S-Allyl-Cysteine (SAC), which is odourless. The softgels do not smell of garlic, and you will not get garlic breath or garlic burps from them.

It is gluten free and non-GMO. The softgel shell is gelatin. Please read the full ingredient list on the back of the pouch before taking it.
